Londonderry teenager injured in Hudson crash

HUDSON – A Londonderry teenager was injured Tuesday morning in a two-car crash on Route 111 in Hudson.

Emergency responders transported the 16-year-old female to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua about 7 a.m. after her vehicle collided with an oncoming car near the intersection with Lawrence Road.

The other driver, Todd Thamer, of Windham, was not injured, but the teenager was pinned in her vehicle, a 2002 Kia Spectra, until Hudson firefighters extricated her. The extent of her injuries are unknown, according to Hudson police.

An initial investigation suggests that the teenager failed to yield to the other vehicle, a 2011 Infinity, as she turned onto Route 111, likely causing the crash.

Route 111 remained closed for several minutes while the vehicles were towed from the scene.
