Police: Nashua man stole from DW Highway employer
Nashua police arrested a city man last week and accused him of stealing from his employer for a period of several months.
Police arrested Demario Dorton-Smith, 23, of 16 White Oak Drive, around 4 p.m. Friday and charged him with theft by unauthorized taking, a felony, police said.
Dorton-Smith is charged with stealing more than $1,500 in merchandise from his employer, a retail shop on Daniel Webster Highway.
Dorton-Smith was held at the Nashua Police Department on $3,500 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at Nashua district court Monday, police said.
The Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in prison, plus fines, police said.
