Merrimack Woman arrested on theft charges

MERRIMACK – Sharon Robinson, 52, of Merrimack is facing multiple charges after turning herself in on a warrant Thursday.

Merrimack authorities issued the warrant for 14 counts of theft by unauthorized taking, one count of forgery and one count of theft by deception, and arrested Robinson once she turned herself in.

Two months earlier, on the morning of Dec. 7, officers responded to a local business for the report of a theft involving a former employee, and upon arrival, the investigating officer spoke with the victim who claims that former employee, Robinson, had been stealing money from the business.

After looking into the business bank records, the victim reported the discovery of Robinson allegedly depositing the same payroll check on two separate occasions. It was also discovered that Robinson collected money from tenants connected to the business. However, these funds were never deposited into the business bank accounts.

After investigating further, the officer discovered there were multiple thefts that took place over a period of time, which resulted in the warrant being issued for the charges mentioned.
