Man arrested after failing to register

By Staff | Feb 2, 2019

NASHUA – Nashua police discovered David Barr, 54, of no fixed address, obtained a new vehicle and did not report the change on his sex offender registration as required. This sparked an investigation, which determined Barr failed to notify police of this new vehicle, along with another vehicle.

During the investigation, police also learned Barr operated a second vehicle for several months, again failing to notify police. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued and Barr now faces two counts of duty to inform. He was released on $160 cash bail and is set for Feb. 14 arraignment.

On Jan. 23, 1989, Barr was convicted of oral copulation by force in California. As a result of that conviction, Barr is required to register quarterly as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
