AMHERST — A 27-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the Thanksgiving morning homicide that claimed the life of 23-year-old Brandon Kluz, local and state law enforcement authorities said.

Bryson Peluso, whose address wasn’t provided, is accused of shooting and killing Kluz around 1 a.m. at 19 Baboosic Lake Road, a large residence that is just across Route 101 from Amherst police headquarters.

Peluso is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South in Nashua on one count of second-degree murder, which accuses him of “recklessly causing the death” of Kluz “under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life … .”

Police said an autopsy on Kluz’s body is scheduled for Friday morning at the state Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord.

Police ask that anyone with any additional information on the incident to contact Sgt. Marc Beaudoin of the New Hampshire State Major Crime Unit at 223-4381.
