Nashua VFW Post 483 announces its Loyalty Day Ceremony
Nashua VFW Post 483 will be holding its Loyalty Day Ceremony at 10 a.m., Saturday, April, 28 at the Nashua Senior Activity Center located at 70 Temple St.
Loyalty Day was instituted by President Eisenhower on July, 18 1958, to combat the Communist May Day celebration. May 1 is the date of Loyalty Day.
The purpose of Loyalty Day is for Americans to demonstrate their loyalty to the United States and the principals it stands for. The VFW takes this obligation seriously. We honor America every day. We begin all our programs with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. This ceremony will also honor our Voice of Democracy Students, teacher, firefighter and police officer of the year.
The ceremony is open to the public to come and join us in honoring America and rewarding these outstanding members of our community. Refreshments will be available, provided by the Post 483 Auxiliary. We hope many citizens attend to help us extend our appreciation to these great contributors to our community.
