Merrimack police investigating roadside death
MERRIMACK – Police say they have identified the man who was found dead early Tuesday morning along Daniel Webster Highway, but they are holding off on releasing his name until they are able to notify members of his family.
Police officers located the body of the man, who was in his mid-20s, when they were called to the area of 130 Daniel Webster Highway to check on a report of an unresponsive person lying on the side of the road.
It was determined the man was deceased, police said. Representatives of the state Medical Examiner’s office were then called to the scene, they added.
Nashua police assisted Merrimack officers in confirming the man’s identity.
Police said the case remains under investigation, but the public need not be alarmed at this time.
More information will be released when it becomes available.
