Man hurt when motorcycle, car collide Thursday in Hudson

HUDSON – A motorcyclist escaped serious injury Thursday afternoon when was thrown from his motorcycle after a collision with a mid-size car on the Sagamore Bridge.

The 23-year-old man, whose name wasn’t immediately available, was transported to Southern new Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. He was conscious when police, firefighters and rescue personnel arrived at the scene, which was in the westbound lane just before the Nashua line. ...

The 23-year-old man, whose name wasn’t immediately available, was transported to Southern new Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. He was conscious when police, firefighters and rescue personnel arrived at the scene, which was in the westbound lane just before the Nashua line.

Preliminary reports indicated that the motorcycle collided with the rear of the car, which had either slowed or stopped.

Several other drivers stopped to talk with police, who interviewed the driver of the car involved and other witnesses.

Bridge traffic was narrowed to two lanes, causing minor slowdowns for westbound motorists.

Police continue to investigate.
