Well, he knew he wasn’t pulled over for texting while driving.

Denis Bolduc, a Nashua resident, was arrested by State Police this week and charged with indecent exposure for allegedly masturbating while driving down the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack, police said.

State Police were contacted shortly before 4 p.m. Monday when a truck driver reported he had seen a gray 2013 Toyota Rav4 being driven south on Interstate 293 in Bedford by a man who was masturbating and appeared to be naked, police said.

Sgt. Bryan Trask located the vehicle near Exit 11 of the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack and identified the driver as Bolduc, 54, police said.

Bolduc asked if he was being stopped for speeding and when Trask told him that wasn’t the reason, Bolduc said he knew he was pulled over because he had been masturbating, said he knew other people could see him and was “very embarrassed,” police said.

Bolduc was not naked in the car but wasn’t wearing a shirt, police said.

Bolduc turned himself in at the Troop B barracks in Bedford on Tuesday and was charged with indecent exposure and lewdness and negligent driving. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned at Merrimack district court on Oct. 23, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Trooper Christopher Cummings at 223-8674.
