Nominations sought for Nashua chamber’s Citizen of Year award

NASHUA – It’s been 10 months since 93-year-old Nashua native and well-known businessman Bob Weisman received the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Citizen of the Year award, and now the Chamber is asking people to nominate candidates for Weisman’s successor.

Nominations are being sought for the coveted honor, which will be presented at the chamber’s 86th annual Gala on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the newly opened Apartments at Cotton Mill, 30 Front St.

Anyone interested in nominating someone can find the form on www.nashuachamber.com. Deadline for submissions is Sept. 5.

More information on the gala, which this year has the theme “Bourbon Street in the Millyard” and runs from 6-9 p.m., can also be found on the Website.
