As its name implies, Brewfest has a lot to do with tasting beer, specifically craft beers concocted by local and regional craft breweries, and a wide variety of chicken wings.

Visitors could sample the products with a souvenir tasting glass that came with the entry fee, which also included a “wing tasting card,” to sample wings that local restaurants entered in the always popular competition.

Kids found plenty of games to play, and live music and other types of entertainment made the day complete.

The Gate City Brewfest & Wing Competition, which debuted last year with the goal of making it an annual event, is organized by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department along with key sponsors including Rock 101 FM, the Silver Knights, New Hampshire Craft Alliance, 2Beerguys.com and Bellavance Beverage Company.
