Nashua police, Boys & Girls Club hosting National Night Out

Nashua police and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua will team up once again for the 31st annual National Night Out at the club’s Grand Avenue facility.

Nashua police and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua will team up once again for the 31st annual National Night Out at the club’s Grand Avenue facility.

National Night Out is an effort sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch to connect kids and police officers to increase drug and crime prevention, as well support for local police departments and their relationships in local communities, according to a statement from Nashua police.

An estimated 37 million people will participate in National Night Out events this year in 15,325 cities and towns.

In Nashua, the event will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at 47 Grand Ave. It will include live entertainment, face painting, family-friendly games and activities, and opportunities for residents to speak with police officials about fostering safe neighborhoods, the department’s anti-gang program and more.

The event is free.
