MERRIMACK – A 50-year-old Nashua woman was killed Wednesday morning when her car collided with a 10-wheel dump truck on Route 101A.

The name of the woman, who was driving alone, was not released pending notification of her family.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of 101A and Continental Boulevard, adjacent to the Pennichuck Square plaza near the Nashua-Merrimack border.

Merrimack Police Capt. Peter Albert said the woman was turning left onto Route 101A from the McDonald’s restaurant opposite Continental Boulevard when her 2014 Kia Sorento was struck from the side by a 2014 Freightliner dump truck.

The truck was traveling east, toward Nashua, on 101A. It was driven by Kyle Witty, 43, of Cornish.

“The cause of the accident is under investigation by our accident investigation team at this time,” Albert said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Sgt. Brian Levesque at 420-1854.
