Car strikes Merrimack post office; no injury

Police are investigating what caused a car driven by a 74-year-old man to hop a curb and crash into the front entrance of the Merrimack Post Office on Friday afternoon.

Police said the driver, Stuart Ruhl, of 3 Profile Drive, Merrimack, was unhurt. They said he had backed his car, a 2000 Toyota Camry, away from the building by the time police, firefighters and rescue personnel arrived at 3:40 p.m. ...

Police said the driver, Stuart Ruhl, of 3 Profile Drive, Merrimack, was unhurt. They said he had backed his car, a 2000 Toyota Camry, away from the building by the time police, firefighters and rescue personnel arrived at 3:40 p.m.

Broken glass and metal framing fragments lay on the ground in front of the bent entrance doors until a cleanup crew arrived a short time later. The post office was able to remain open.
