The Nashua Farmers Market will launch its eighth season Sunday, once again bringing local produce and entertainment to the downtown area.

The market, managed by Great American Downtown and the Farmers Market Association of Nashua, will kick off its summer season at the Main Street Bridge from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Visitors can expect a variety of fresh local fruits and vegetables, along with eggs, flowers, pastries and other goods throughout the summer.

One of the local vendors participating this year is Country Dreams Farm on West Hollis Street in Nashua. The farm will be offering fruits and vegetables, fresh flowers and maple syrup at different times in the season.

Country Dreams Farms also runs a community-supported agriculture program, which allows patrons to buy shares in the operation of the farm and receive food in return.

Another vendor on the list is Spiczka Farm, located in Groton, Mass., which runs a farm stand south of the border in Dunstable. The farm plans to sell fruits, vegetables and fresh eggs.

Other vendors participating this year include Cucina Aurora, which sells infused olive oils and dips; Bakeology, which offers cookies and muffins; DJ’s Pure Natural Honey; and Northwood Naturals, a family-owned company that sells skin care products.

Shoppers also can expect to hear live music from Deep Hole Road, a bluegrass, folk and rock band in southern New Hampshire, and The New Englanders, another bluegrass group.

The Nashua Farmers Market will take place each Sunday through Oct. 12. For more information, visit www.downtownnashua.org/event/farmers-market.
