Police have charged a Nashua man with going on a criminal tear through Merrimack and Londonderry on Tuesday, including driving drunk, domestic assault and – bizarrely – ripping up a stranger’s front lawn with his car.

Merrimack police were called to a home at 769 Daniel Webster Highway around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday when a man reported a blue Honda van in his front yard damaging the lawn, police said.

Capt. Peter Albert said the resident approached the driver – whom police later identified as Jacob Reznikow, 26, of 59 Ash St., Nashua – who then drove in circles on the lawn, damaging it, and at one point drove directly at the resident, who had to leap out of the way.

He said police later learned Reznikow had earlier been involved in a domestic incident with a woman in the van.

The van was gone when police arrived, but Londonderry police responded to a residence in their town for a report of a domestic disturbance where they found Reznikow, police said.

Reznikow was brought to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has been charged by both police departments. Merrimack police have charged him with felony reckless conduct, DWI, domestic assault and criminal mischief, police said.

Londonderry police were not immediately available for comment.

Reznikow was held on $20,000 cash only bail and was arraigned at Merrimack district court on Wednesday, police said.
