2 charged with heroin possession in Merrimack

Merrimack police charged two people with heroin possession after looking into a suspicious car at a local business.

A Merrimack officer spotted a vehicle parked behind a local business early Tuesday morning and found Michael Johnson, 29, of 35 Bray Hill Road, Whitefield, and Beth Philibotte, 33, of 31 Tucker Mill Road, New Boston, inside. A Merrimack officer spotted a vehicle parked behind a local business early Tuesday morning and found Michael Johnson, 29, of 35 Bray Hill Road, Whitefield, and Beth Philibotte, 33, of 31 Tucker Mill Road, New Boston, inside. The officer spoke with Johnson and Philibotte and, after a brief investigation, charged them with possession of heroin, police said.

Johnson was held on $5,000 cash or corporate surety bail and arraigned at Merrimack district court. Philibotte was released on $3,500 personal recognizance and will be arraigned June 26, police said.
