Nashua man accused of kicking open door in burglary attempt, fleeing when he sees woman inside

NASHUA – A 52-year-old Nashua man is accused of kicking in a woman’s door on West Hollis Street during a burglary attempt this week.

The victim called police at 11 a.m. Monday for assistance. She reported hearing her doorbell ring and seeing a man she didn’t recognize outside. NASHUA – A 52-year-old Nashua man is accused of kicking in a woman’s door on West Hollis Street during a burglary attempt this week.

The victim called police at 11 a.m. Monday for assistance. She reported hearing her doorbell ring and seeing a man she didn’t recognize outside. When she didn’t answer the doorbell, the man reportedly kicked open the door and began to enter. The woman told police he stopped and fled when he spotted her inside.

At 11:19 a.m., police responding to the scene encountered Kempton Doyle, of 50 Westgate Crossing, riding on a bicycle in the area of West Hollis Street at Westgate Village. He was arrested and subsequently charged with attempted burglary, a class B felony.

Doyle’s bail was set at $10,000 cash or surety pending a video arraignment and bail hearing Tuesday Nashua district court.
