Merrimack man dies following motorcycle crash on Bedford Road

MERRIMACK – A Merrimack man died Monday after being seriously injured in a motorcycle crash near his home on Bedford Road over the weekend.

Stephen Hill, 59, of 105 Bedford Road, was flown by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital after his motorcycle crashed at 4 p.m. Saturday.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said Hill succumbed to his injuries at 2:29 p.m. Monday.

Hill was heading west on Bedford Road when his 1981 Yamaha 650 motorcycle left the pavement and traveled across the lawn at 73 Bedford Road, according to information provided by Merrimack police. Hill lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown onto the driveway of the residence.

Merrimack police continue to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 424-3774.
