Nashua woman with $4,000 worth of jewelry charged with receiving stolen property

A Nashua woman was arrested Thursday and charged with having jewelry worth more than $4,000 that had been stolen from a Nashua home.

Police had been investigating the theft from a residence in downtown Nashua and found the items, which the victim identified, at a secondhand shop in the city, police said.

Police arrested Jillian Marcotte, 28, of 22 Lake St., Apt. 2, around 4:30 p.m. Thursday and charged her with receiving stolen property, a felony, police said.

Marcotte was held on $1,500 cash bail pending her arraignment Friday in Nashua district court, police said.

The Class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, plus fines, police said.
