Merrimack police looking for tips to find man who assaulted 9-year-old

Merrimack police are looking for help from residents to find a man who assaulted a 9-year-old girl Tuesday afternoon.

The girl and her mother told police the girl was playing in a neighbor’s yard on Maidstone Drive around 4 p.m. Tuesday when an unidentified man with dark skin and wearing dark clothes emerged from near a garage, pulled the girl into the garage and closed the door. The man didn’t say anything and was last seen running toward a wooded area behind the home, police said.

There is no other description of the man at this time, police said.
