HOLLIS – The Maple Hill Gardeners welcome new volunteers to join them in 12 theme gardens at Maple Hill Farm, 117 Ridge Road.

Group work day is 9:30 a.m.-noon every Monday April-
September, but, volunteers are welcome Tuesday-Friday to work with the horticulturalist in the mornings.

The Maple Hill Gardens include the herb oval, a shade garden, a drying and cutting garden, a fragrance garden and a Victorian garden. The work is guided by Beaver Brook Association horticulturalist Elizabeth Brown.

The Maple Hill Gardens are open to the public from dawn to dusk every day. They also are used as teaching gardens for students from the region. Learn about plants and garden design from an expert.

Gardeners are welcome to take things home for their gardens. If you are interested in a particular type of garden, you can become “Keeper of the Garden.”
