‘Images of America: Merrimack’ books available

MERRIMACK – A reprint of the Arcadia Book “Images of America: Merrimack” is available at the town manager’s office and the Merrimack Historical Society.

The book is a compilation of photos of Merrimack collected to celebrate the town’s 250th anniversary in 1996. It has been out of print for several years.

The retail cost is $21.99, but the Heritage Commission is making it available for $20.

The Historical Society, 520 Boston Post Road, is open on 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday-Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and by appointment.

The one-room schoolhouse was built in 1847.

Other items for sale at the society are afghans, “Merrimack History Vol. 1,” T-shirts, note cards and commemorative plates.
