Raffle offers chance to win fire engine ride during Merrimack parade

MERRIMACK – In cooperation with the Merrimack Fire and Rescue Department, the Rotary Club of Merrimack is offering an opportunity to ride in a fire engine in the July Fourth parade – ring the bell, blow the horn and siren, and wave to your friends and neighbors from the loudest and best seat in the parade.

The raffle drawing will be Wednesday, July 2, and the winner will be notified by phone.

The winner will get two seats on the fire engine. A child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Riders must agree that, in the event of an emergency, they could be dropped off at any point along the parade route so the engine company can answer the call.

Raffle entries are $2 each and may only be purchased at www.merrimack4th.com.

The July 4 Family Fun Day will include the Sparkler 5K Road Race starting at the Merrimack YMCA, 8 a.m.; Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast in the Merrimack High School Cafeteria, 8-11 a.m.; parade, 1 p.m; family activities at Mastricola Elementary School, noon-9 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk at Merrimack High School.
