What is an RSS feed and why do I want one?

As a service to its readers, who increasingly look at several different Web sites over the course of the day, NHBR.com now offers free headlines via "RSS." RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary.

RSS allows news sites to easily syndicate content in a format that is quickly accessible to readers. Unlike most of NHBR.com, which is based on HTML, RSS uses an XML-based format. The NHBR.com feeds include headlines, descriptions and links to articles currently on the site. As the site is updated so are the feeds.

How to I get one of these feeds?

To use RSS, you will need a special RSS news reader or aggregator (click for a list of aggregators) that will allow you to collect and display the RSS content. NHBR.com does not provide these, but there are many available for download online and many of them are free. Most news readers are applications that you download and install. Some are integrated into browsers, such as Mozilla's Firefox. Others are web-based services you sign up for that work inside your browser.

So I've got a reader how do I subscribe?

To subscribe to one of NHBR.com's feeds, just copy and paste the url of one of the links above according to the instructions of your news reader.
