Police: BB gun used in threat in Hudson

Road rage suspect sought in separate incident

HUDSON – Reports of trouble at the Derry Road Circle K ended with police arresting an allegedly intoxicated Litchfield man armed with a BB gun.

Brian Bell, 36, of 4 Finch Court, is being held on $5,000 cash bail after he was arrested early Friday morning on charges of driving while intoxicated, criminal threatening and driving after suspension or revocation.

Police started looking for Bell around 12:30 a.m. Friday when people at the Circle K reported a man in a white SUV had pointed a revolver at them before walking into the store.

Police did not find him at the Circle K, but one of the officers later spotted the car driving past him on Derry Road. It was seen again at the 7-Eleven in Litchfield.

Police say Bell was intoxicated, though he refused to take a field sobriety test. Officers said they also found a black BB revolver in the front of Bell’s car.

This is the second incident of a weapon being displayed in Hudson this week.

On Thursday afternoon, police said there was a road rage incident on Lowell Road by the Sagamore Bridge around 5 p.m. involving a green 2006 Volkswagen Passat and a gray 2000 Chevy truck.

Officers said a firearm was displayed during an apparent act of road rage.

Hudson Police Officer Matthew Flynn is looking to speak to any witnesses to this incident. He can be reached at 886-6011. The department’s anonymous tip line is 594-1150.
