NH attractions dole out Halloween scares

New Hampshire residents and visitors are in for a real treat this Halloween season as New Hampshire has numerous haunted attractions that dare to scare.

Here are a few of the highlighted attractions:

n Nightmare New England and Spooky World in Litchfield: Mel’s Funway Park just got bigger and better this Halloween season with the addition of Spooky World. For one admission price, visitors of the park can visit both Nightmare New England Spooky World. The massive, 20-acre park features attractions like Buried Alive, Raven’s Claw, House of Eternal Darkness and Sleep Stalkers. Tickets are $30.

n Harvest of Horror in Candia: Forget everything you thought about the nice, friendly atmosphere at Charmingfare Farm. When the sun goes down, the Demons of the Corn rise up for the harvesting. Are you brave enough to enter this world of fright? The fields are full of unthinkable sites, decaying crops and creatures that will make your blood run cold. They’re waiting for all those who dare experience the four terrors of the Harvesting. Tickets are $23 per person.

n Fright Kingdom in Nashua: With professional actors and quality details, Fright Kingdom is one of the most terrifying attractions in southern New Hampshire. This all-indoor park and has been voted as one of America’s best haunted attractions. Attractions include Bloodmare Manor and Psycho Circus. Tickets are $17 for adults and $13 for children.

n ScreemFest in Salem: Canobie Lake Park turns into a terrifying nightmare with the new addition of ScreemFest and its brand new attractions. The blood-curdling attractions include Dead Shed, The Village and Merriment Inc. Although this park is scary, there is Pumpkin Palace, a great non-scary attraction for younger children. Tickets are $25 for adults and $14 for children.

n Gothic Grounds in Manchester: Located in Manchester’s historic mill yard, Gothic Grounds is known as Manchester’s premier indoor haunted house. Attractions include The Fog, House of the Fallen and The Shadow Carnival. Tickets are $18 per person.

Although Halloween means haunted houses, don’t forget about trick-or-treating. With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, the majority of trick or treating in the state will be held Friday and Saturday.
