City hospice center aces recent survey; Home Health & Hospice Care has provided services since 1883.

NASHUA – Home Health & Hospice Care and the Community Hospice House earned a perfect score on a recent survey by the Health Facility Certification Unit of the NH Department of Health and Human Services. This unit inspects home care and hospice agencies every three years to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and to evaluate the quality of care to patients.

Agencies are not privy to when a survey will be conducted, which is a very rigorous process. Surveyors arrive unannounced and spend several days interviewing staff, reviewing records, policies and procedures and also visiting with patients. After an exhaustive examination of HHHC’s operations, state officials found no deficiencies to report.

“I’m so pleased to congratulate our staff on the outstanding work that led to this perfect survey by the State. But what this truly means is that our agency is providing the best possible care to the thousands of patients we interact with every year, both in the home setting and in the Community Hospice House,” said John Getts, CEO of Home Health & Hospice Care. “I know that our team works extremely hard on a daily basis to make sure our patients and their loved ones feel supported. We will continue to set high standards and provide our southern New Hampshire communities with the compassion and skilled care that has been a hallmark of our organization for well over a hundred years!”

One of the region’s most experienced Visiting Nurse Associations, Home Health & Hospice Care has been a provider of home care and hospice services since 1883. Serving 25 communities in southern New Hampshire, the mission of the agency is to provide trusted patient-centered services that enhance each individual’s independence and quality throughout life. Services include traditional in-home care, as well as hospice care for patients in their homes, in nursing facilities, and in the Community Hospice House, which is owned and operated by Home Health & Hospice Care.
