A Ford Ranger and a GMC Yukon were involved in a crash shortly before 4 p.m., near the intersection with Marsh Road. Police on the scene said no one was seriously hurt, though one driver needed help exiting the vehicle. The Yukon rolled over onto its side during the incident.

That crash remains under investigation.

Driver injured in turnpike rollover

A driver was seriously injured when he reportedly crashed into a sound barrier on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack, rolling his car over and getting ejected in the process.

Police and fire crews responded to the scene around 11:15 p.m. when they started getting calls about smoke coming from the highway. New Hampshire State Police trooper Jack DeJesus reported that Ryan Tracey, 26, with no given address, was on the ground near his Ford Focus, which had rolled over.

Initial reports from the scene indicated Tracey’s vehicle left a trail of debris a quarter-mile long after hitting the sound barrier wall near Exit 13.

Tracey was initially taken to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, and later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to be treated for serious injuries.

DeJesus reported that Tracey lost control of his car before hitting the wall, though the crash remains under investigation.
