Woman accused of Samurai sword attack

A 20-year-old Merrimack woman was held in jail over the weekend pending a Tuesday arraignment on charges related to allegations she attacked her boyfriend and went after him with a Samurai sword, police said.

Alexsandra Wadleigh, of 8 Dalton Court, is also accused of biting the unidentified male victim and hitting him with a ceramic ashtray during the alleged confrontation, which police said took place Sunday morning.

She was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Merrimack district court on two counts of simple assault and one count of criminal threatening, all misdemeanors.

The male called police around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police said, and officers were able to locate Wadleigh a short time later and take her into custody without incident.

Police said she was booked and held on $5,000 cash bail.
