Assault report brings teen back to jail

An 18-year-old Scott Drive resident out on bail in an unrelated case was returned to jail Saturday, charged by police with several offenses stemming from the alleged assault of an unidentified individual.

Police said Thomas R. LeClair, 18, of 10 Scott Drive, was scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack district court Tuesday on one count each of simple assault, criminal trespassing, breach of bail conditions and possession of marijuana, all misdemeanors.

LeClair was booked and held at Valley Street jail in Manchester on $2,500 bail pending arraignment, police added.

Officers were called to a local residence around 7:20 p.m. Saturday and determined that LeClair had entered the home and allegedly assaulted the resident, according to reports.

Police issued a warrant and arrested LeClair a short time later. The marijuana charge was added when arresting officers found the drug at the time of his arrest, police said.
