Free State, Free Keene, free currency? - Keene group embraces Bitcoin

It's not surprising that Free Keene - the Free Stater-ish folks that have clustered in southwest NH in an effort to create a critical mass of libertarian viewpoints - would like the idea of Bitcoin, the online currency that wants to e a non-government-created, market-driven money supply. Bitcoin calls itself "P2P digital currency". Since it survived a near-death experience due to a computer bug and/or maniuplation in 2010, it seems to be chugging along, gaining a little acceptance here and there despite lack of any Fort Knox or FDIC behind it.
It sounds like a ridiculously idealist geeky idea ... but then again, so did wikipedia.
Some of the Keene folks are trying to create a Keene Bitcoin Network, getting local businesses to accept Bitcoin and bypass The Man (if I may use terminology from my youth).
