Purifying water by boiling it sounds simple, but start-up firm knows it’s hard

I forgot to link to my own column this week, so here it is - a profile of a local startup that's trying to develop a self-enclosed water purification system based on distillation (boiling water, then condensing the steam).
Aside from the technology, the most interesting part of the story to me was the fact that the main inventor has been working on it for more than 15 years and is still at least a year away from a prototype. I would never have that much stick-to-it-iveness and/or self-confidence, even if I had a good-enough idea for a startup.
