Now, this is a horrible idea: Free theater seats if you'll tweet about the show

Recently, the Flynn Center in Burlington, Vermont, "gave tickets to people who are active in the Vermont social-media community to sit in the balcony, isolated from the rest of the non-Tweeting crowd, and send as many messages out to the public as they could. ... Like a few other venues around the country, the Flynn sees the marketing value of having people on the inside instantaneously entice those on the outside, especially the tech-savvy younger crowd Twitter attracts, to come experience the performing arts for themselves."

It's just an experiment, says the Free-Press reporter who participated, but I sure hope it fails.
