Companies have lost information about NH customers hundreds of times in recent years

If you're the sort of person who's paranoid about companies losing your personal information, you may have reason to be paranoid: Hundreds of them have lost information about New Hampshire customers in recent years.
This startling information can be found on the NH Department of Justice website - right here. Companies from Toyota and IBM to teeny places like Tobacco Haven, a stateline cigarette store, have sent the state letters saying "oops, we lost information about customers but it's probably not too bad, honest." Or words to that effect.
I found out about this list while doing a story about a TD Bank "security breach", to use the state legal term, that doesn't appear to affect N.H.
