A mini Maker-Faire coming to Boston (well, Somerville) in Oct.

New Hampshire has not yet had a Maker Faire, those parties / workshops / festivals / conferences in which members of the area "maker" community gather to discuss and show off their projects, whether software goodies or giant ridable six-legged robots.

But a mini one, lasting a couple of hours, has been slated for Somerville, Mass., not too far away, on Saturday, Oct. 13. It's sponsored by Artisans Asylum, one of the region's biggest and olders Makerspaces. Should be interesting. More details are here - they need folks.

NH has two active hackerspaces that I know of: MakeIt Labs in Nashua and the new Port City hackerspace in Portsmouth. I hope they'll be represented.
