The most famous/infamous New Hampshire resident online was once Standford Wallace, know to the Seacoast as the owner of a bar called Plum Crazy, who was once of the first wildly successful spammers online.
Ars Technica story has a nice story (here) about decades of effort by the feds the various companies, including MySpace and Facefbook, to bring him to heel - the problem isn't that he can't be found guilty in civil court, the problem is that he can't seem to be made to pay any fines. It's an interesting, if exaspering, tale.
