Ticks are on our mind these days, what with Lyme disease et al, so I thought you'd appreciate this story from Slate:
Tony Goldberg, of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, is pretty sure that the tick he picked out of his nostril after a trip to Uganda is an entirely new species.
Not much I can add to that.
