Court: Disney doesn't have to allow Segways because they're too unstable

A woman with muscular dystophy wanted to right a Segway in Disneyland (the one in California, not Florida) but it's not allowed. A California appeals court sided with Disneyland, concluding that the Segway was just too dangerous to be used as a mode of transportation inside the theme park.

Manchesterians who spent years seeing the vehicles whiz around the not-always-level sidewalks of the Millyard back when it was still Dean Kamen's baby might be surprised at that ruling.

Story from Wired here.
