3 Redneck Tenors to perform at 8 p.m. March 12

NASHUA – The Nashua Community Concert Association’s 2017-2018 series continues at 8 p.m. on March 12 with a concert by The 3 Redneck Tenors. at Elm Street Middle School’s Keefe Auditorium.

The 3 Redneck Tenors are a new breed in the “tenor genre.” They include musical comedy featuring classically trained veteran artists, combining down-home laughs with big city music. Written by opera veteran Matthew Lord, who appears along with Blake Davidson and Jonathan Fruge, the trio has been thrilling audiences since 2006.

Lord ‘s voice encompasses a repertoire ranging from the 18th century to contemporary compositions of today. He has performed in nearly every major opera house in the United States, including the Metropolitan Opera House, where his 2004 debut was in Boris Godunov.

Davidson is an award-winning singer whose experience includes opera, symphony and musical theatre. He has given solo concerts at NYU, the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the Tokyo Opera House

Fruge always is funny and good for a smile, as well as gripping in his vocal performances. He has performed solo at Carnegie Hall (with the New York City Chamber Orchestra), the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Meyerson Symphony Center of Dallas.
