The editorial board of The Telegraph meets once a week to discuss the latest news and public policy issues and determine the editorial positions of the newspaper. The board strives to address a broad range of topics affecting the lives of our readers.

The Telegraph's editorial opinions are reached by the consensus of the editorial board. These opinions are independent of the newspaper’s news coverage and do not influence other content.

Roger Carroll's New Hampshire journalism career spans more than 30 years, starting with his days as an award-winning radio reporter in his hometown of Lebanon, then as a staff writer for the West Lebanon Valley News, and most recently as the editor of the Eagle Times in Claremont. He also authored a critically acclaimed history of Lebanon, worked as a congressional aide in Washington and a staffer for the New Hampshire House of Representative, and spent a season as an assistant coach with the Dartmouth College men's basketball team. He lives in Nashua.

Executive Managing Editor Phil Kincade began his New Hampshire newspaper career covering the delivery of Seabrook Station's reactor core in 1979. Before joining the Telegraph's staff in 2010 we worked for more than 30 years at Foster's Daily Democrat in Dover where he served in several capacities including Statehouse Bureau Chief, Editorial Page Editor, Assistant Managing Editor and Managing Editor for Online News and Content. He's a 1978 graduate of Indiana University and lives in Durham.

Jonathan Van Fleet, managing editor for content, has worked at The Telegraph since 2000. He coordinates watchdog and enterprise projects for online and print. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire.

Vanessa Palange has worked at The Telegraph since 2005 but also did a previous stint from 2000-02, starting as an intern. She also has held the positions of business copy editor, assistant news editor and news editor before becoming managing editor of production in 2009. As managing editor, she is responsible for overseeing the copy desk, coordinating breaking news coverage and night production of The Telegraph as well as production of The Cabinet Press's four weekly newspapers. Vanessa has won several design awards from the New England Newspaper & Press Association and the New England Associated Press News Executives Association. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire. In her spare time, she tends to a flock of fowl and shops for shoes.
