INCIDENT: Assault Investigation

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT

Colonel Robert Quinn of the New Hampshire State Police, Carroll County Attorney Thomas Dewhurst, and Carroll County Sheriff Christopher Conley announce the arrest of Justin Roy, 33, of 6 Odina Drive, Albany, New Hampshire, on two arrest warrants for Second Degree Assault.

Roy was arrested without incident on Wednesday, April 04, 2012, at approximately 10:30 A.M. by Troopers with the State Police Major Crime Unit, State Police Troop-E, and deputies from the Carroll County Sherriff’s Office.

The New Hampshire State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office had been conducting an investigation into a serious assault that was reported on December 19, 2011, in the Town of Albany, NH. The victim of the assault, a 2 year old boy, had been flown by medical helicopter from Memorial Hospital in Conway, new Hampshire to the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, with life threatening injuries.

This investigation is on-going and there is no further information at this time.
