Locals charged with department store theft

NASHUA – Kevin Dumont, 31, of no fixed address, and Fallon Peno, 32, of no fixed address, face charges with allegedly trying to steal from a store at the Pheasant Lane Mall.

At 5:52 p.m. Saturday, officers arrested Dumont on felony counts of unauthorized taking or transfer, as well as falsifying physical evidence. Peno was arrested for felony unauthorized taking.

Officers responded to the mall after receiving a report of theft. Upon arrival, officers received information about a man and woman stealing several pairs of boots and shoes, along with tool sets, from a store at the mall. They then left the store in a vehicle.

Officers later located the vehicle in Nashua. They then identified and arrested Dumont and Peno.

The alleged offenders face up to 15 years imprisonment. They are scheduled to appear for arraignment at Hillsborough Superior Court-South on Nov. 15.
