HUDSON – A Massachusetts man has been extradited back to New Hampshire where he faces a felony in connection with theft from a Hudson job site.

Jay Alexa, 44, of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, faces one count of theft by unauthorized taking but the investigation is still ongoing.

On Thursday, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Warrant Unit, in conjunction with the Tyngsborough Police Department, arrested Alexa on fugitive from justice charges, which resulted from the alleged theft of metal piping and construction materials from an active job site in Hudson. Alexa was released on $1,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arranged at the Ninth Circuit Court in Nashua on Sept. 13.
