Two Nashuans arrested for child pornography

NASHUA – Two men are in custody after they were charged with possession of child pornography.

In pre-dawn raids on two consecutive days, the Nashua Police Department’s Special Investigations Division executed search warrants – with the assistance of the Patrol Division, the Computer Forensic Unit, and Homeland Security Investigation – at the homes of Robert Hopkins, 55, of 7 Newcastle Drive, Apt. 3, and Robert Catanzano Jr., 56, of 5 Westhill Drive.

Police went to Hopkins’ home first, before 6 a.m. on Feb. 1, and reportedly found evidence to be able to bring five felony counts of possession of child pornography against Hopkins. The next day, also before 6 a.m., police went into Catanzano Jr.’s home and again found evidence of child pornography, according to police. Catanzano Jr. is also charged with five felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Hopkins was initially ordered held on $200,000 cash bail, while Catanzano Jr.’s bail was set at $50,000 cash.
