Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce
Five new individuals have been nominated and accepted by the current Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce board of directors for 2012-13. The new members, who started their three-year term April 1, are:
Michael Apfelberg, Educational Outfitters
Apfelberg and his wife Kirsten are the owners of Educational Outfitters of New Hampshire, at 14A Broad St. Educational Outfitters has been in business for five years, and Apfelberg has been a member of the Chamber since launching the business. He is active on the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee and is a graduate of the Chamber’s LGN Program.
Paul Hebert, United Way of Greater Nashua
Hebert is president of United Way of Greater Nashua Inc., where he leads a team that raises and invests more than $3 million annually in community-building programs. He also the founder and president of Decision Management Associates LLC, where he works with large organizations and federal government agencies to develop and implement strategic business and information technology plans; and orchestrate turnaround’s of under-performing business units. Hebert is a graduate of the Chamber’s LGN Program.
Robert Prunier, Harvey Construction
Prunier is executive vice president and principal owner of Harvey Construction Corp. Under Prunier’s leadership, the firm has renovated and constructed major projects for clients throughout the state including Manchester-Boston Regional Airport; Rivier College; the University of New Hampshire; Nashua School District; Greater Nashua YMCA; and St. Joseph Hospital. Prunier is a graduate of the Chamber’s LGN Program.
Ellen Scarponi, FairPoint Communications
Scarponi serves as FairPoint’s director of government relations and economic development in New Hampshire. Before her current position, she served as the senior account manager for government accounts with primary responsibility for the state of New Hampshire, and the University System and Community College System of New Hampshire. Scarponi previously served as director of sales and district manager for AT&T across northern New England and Rhode Island with responsibility for voice and data networking and e-commerce product lines.
Peter Tamposi, The Tamposi Law Group
Tamposi owns a law practice in downtown Nashua, and specializes in small-business reorganization under Chapter 11. He also has extensive litigation experience, including conducting and coordinating all aspects of general commercial litigation in state and federal court, representing plaintiffs and defendants. Prior to opening his practice, Tamposi was a partner in the financial restructuring group of Nixon Peabody LLP, an international law firm. He serves on the board of directors of the Nashua Children’s Home, the NH Charitable Foundation (Nashua region) and the Nashua Education Foundation.
