Gary Wingate, owner of Wingate’s Pharmacy Inc. in Nashua, was recently presented with the Earl W. “Bill” Bradley Award.” This award was presented at the annual conference for the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists in Williamsburg, Va. It is a national award recognizing outstanding service to veterinary pharmacy.
Wingate is a fourth generation of Wingate pharmacists who have served the pharmaceutical needs of the community for more than 111 years.
He is a previous recipient of the Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award for New Hampshire, which is given to a pharmacist who has demonstrated innovative pharmacy practice resulting in improved patient care. He has outfitted his pharmacy to provide specialty compounded products for unique patient populations. His independent pharmacy formulates compounds in a variety of dosage forms for cats, dogs, ferrets, exotics, horses and others.
He is a previous recipient of the New Hampshire Pharmacist of the Year Award and the Bowl of Hygeia Award, which recognizes a pharmacist at the national level that provides exemplary community service.
Wingate also serves as an adviser and is on several boards for various local and national organizations.
Marguerite’s Place Inc. and MP Housing Inc. of Nashua have announced that Eric Sopper, customer service manager of People’s United Bank in Nashua, has been named to the nonprofit’s board of directors.
