Local eateries invited to participate in first statewide Restaurant Week

The early deadline is approaching for eateries to sign up for the first statewide Restaurant Week New Hampshire, hosted by the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association.

Restaurants that sign up by Thursday, March 15, will receive a discount on registration, officials said.

More than 80 restaurants have committed to Restaurant Week New Hampshire so far, scheduled for May 18-25. The eight-day event features prix fixe menus for lunch or dinner at three price points in order to allow foodies of all budgets to participate.

“It’s going to be a great week for restaurants all around the state,” said Tom Boucher, owner and CEO of Great New Hampshire Restaurants and chairman of the NHLRA Restaurant Week committee. “When Jack (Carnevale, owner of the Bedford Village Inn) came up with the idea to highlight New Hampshire dining in this way, I was amazed at how quickly a committee of restaurateurs from around the state (including Jack) came together to bring this event to fruition.”

Restaurant Week New Hampshire is presented by the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet and Boucher’s Great New Hampshire Restaurants, which includes T-Bones, Cactus Jack’s and The Copper Door.

Supporting sponsors are Coca-Cola and Horizon Beverage. Contributing sponsors are American Express, Stella Artois, Sysco and Laconia Savings Bank.

The kickoff event is sponsored by the Common Man and the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism.

The deadline for businesses to sign up for Restaurant Week New Hampshire is Sunday, April 1.

Restaurants or lodging facilities can participate by visiting or by calling the NHLRA at 228-9585. The NHLRA is at 341 Loudon Road, Unit 3, Concord, NH 03302.
