LaBelle Winery wins competitions

In the 37th annual International Eastern Wine Competition & Riesling Championship, LaBelle Winery’s Red Alchemy was awarded a Gold Medal in the Red Blends category. Red Alchemy, a red dinner wine, is a blend of three grapes: Baco Noir, Noiret and Corot Noir. LaBelle Winery also won a silver medal for its Americus and a bronze medal for its Riesling in the competition.

The competition, hosted by Vineyard & Winery Management took place on Feb. 12 and 13 and was judged by professional wine judges from around the country at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, California. ...

At this year’s Big E Northeast Gold Wine Competition, LaBelle Winery submitted eight wines and all were awarded medals. LaBelle’s Tempest, which was awarded the gold medal. Tempest is a sparkling wine; a blend of Red Raspberry and Seyval Blanc. Other awarded wines from LaBelle Winery include Americus, Gewurztraminer, Shimmer, Anthology, Red Alchemy, Corazon and Dulce.

Earlier this year, LaBelle was also awarded medals for each of the four wines submitted in the 13th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. LaBelle Dry Riesling, Riesling, Americus & Red Alchemy each won a bronze in their respective categories.

Started in 2005 by Amy LaBelle, LaBelle Winery is focused on producing wine from grapes and other fruits capable of being grown in the cooler Northeast climate.
