Exchange Club grant to Marguerite’s Place

This week, the Nashua Exchange Club awarded a $2000 grant to Marguerite’s Place to support programs for homeless women and children. As a result of this generous donation, Marguerite’s Place will be making several security and safety improvements at their transitional housing facilities in Nashua.

Nashua Webelos cub scouts from Saint Christopher’s Pack 253 recently attended a wilderness survival campout hosted by Boy Scout Troop 19 of Nashua. Boys who participated learned map and compass skills, matchless fire-building techniques, and how to build survival shelters.

Nashua Area Retired Educators Association Twelve new members were installed at the Autumn Professional Gathering of the Nashua Area Retired Educators Association held at the Nashua Country Club on October 21, 2009. They are: Lois Ayer, Susan Bakaian, Dee Barry, Ann Breurger, Pauline Chervincky, Catherine Comes, Gail Donahue, Rosanne Empey, Susan Fehsinger, Marlene Grosky, Frank Hoell, Margaret Radziewicz.
